We had sent a condolence basket to my Brother and Sister in Law last week and they loved the cookies. Just as a heads up, they are crazy expensive though. We got them eight of the decorated sugar cookies and then a dozen random ones and it came to just over $100.00 which included shipping. That is roughly $5.00 per cookie! I am definitely in the wrong business. While they were good, looked good and delivered on time they are not something I can see myself frequently purchase. As for delivery, I questioned their methods and was a little unsatisfied with how they handled things. If someone is not home you would think they would either leave them with a neighbor or possibly try again later if they had other deliveries in the area. Instead the guy just left them on the porch in the wide open for anyone to see. He called and informed me of this and his exact words were "I just left them on the porch. You can totally see them from the street so there is no way they will miss them when they get home." If there is no way they will miss them then there is also no way for anyone else to miss them either and decide to snatch them up if they wanted. Also what about squirrels and other critters? I know it has been God awful cold as of late, but they are still out there scavenging for food. Luckily they were home less than five minutes after they were delivered so they weren't sitting there long. This along with the price are the only negative things I can say about Cookies by Design. Other than that they are a good option as an alternative to flowers.
